ESMM product guide
Get your business ready to publish
The owner sets up the workspace. Each customer connects their own business accounts. Teammates use their own ESMM sign-ins and the role the owner gives them.
1. Set up your workspace
Request an account, then open your private invitation link and choose your own password. On first sign-in, the owner’s guide walks through the business name, industry and timezone. Choose the business timezone from the list; Calendar uses it for scheduled times.
In Settings → Business, add brand voice and content topics for suggestions. Review the AI budget before using AI features.
2. Connect your business accounts
Open Settings → Channels and choose a provider. An available sign-in takes you to that provider to authorize ESMM. Sign in as an authorized administrator for the business, review the requested permissions, and choose the accounts or locations you want to connect. Back in ESMM, select the accounts for that workspace.
Provider sign-in is for the customer’s business assets. Customers do not register developer applications, generate social API tokens or manually share a portfolio with ESMM’s operator. A provider may require an eligible professional/business account and its normal administrator permissions.
- Facebook and Instagram
- Customer authorization uses Meta’s business login and selected Facebook Pages or professional Instagram accounts. Available publishing formats and metrics depend on the permissions granted and Meta’s app approval.
- TikTok
- When TikTok sign-in is available, the creator authorizes ESMM and explicitly chooses the audience, interaction settings and required disclosures for Direct Post. Phone posting is also available: ESMM prepares a video and caption, and the assigned person finishes in TikTok, including music or effects.
- WordPress
- Use an HTTPS WordPress site and an application password for a user who can upload media and publish posts. Download and install the ESMM Connector for SEO metadata and retry-safe publishing. In ESMM’s WordPress dialog, enter the site URL, username and application password. Revoke that password in WordPress to remove access.
- Business Profile sign-in authorizes eligible business locations for management and publishing when provider access is enabled. The separate Maps lookup lets the business choose a public location to display its current star rating and review count; it does not grant Business Profile access.
Connection options accurately show when a provider has not yet been enabled. Disconnect a channel in ESMM to stop its future publishing jobs, and revoke the authorization in the provider’s account settings to remove the provider grant.
3. Invite your team
Settings → People lets an owner create invitations for this business. Share the private setup link only with the intended recipient. It works once and expires in seven days. ESMM also attempts email delivery; the copyable link lets you share it directly if the email does not arrive.
Owners manage accounts and people. Managers approve and publish. Creators draft posts and handle phone posts. Contributors upload media. Viewers read the plan and results. People joining an existing business get a shorter introduction for their role.
4. Collect, draft and review
Upload photos and videos to Library. Create a post, choose its connected channels, add suitable media and adapt the caption for each channel. Save a private draft, then request approval when ready. Managers and owners can approve or request changes.
Uploading media and saving drafts do not publish them. Approval and scheduling are separate actions. Use only content you have permission to use, and review suggestions before posting.
5. Schedule and check the result
Use Calendar to choose a time and check the post’s status. Supported automatic publishing runs through the connected provider. For phone posts, the assigned teammate finishes in the social app and marks the handoff complete in ESMM.
Today shows upcoming work and items needing attention. Stats fills in as connected accounts and posts supply data. WordPress reports post/comment counts rather than visitor analytics; Maps ratings are a current lookup, not a stored rating history.
Privacy, support and deletion
Business permissions control who can access a workspace. Provider credentials stay encrypted on the server and are not shown to teammates. You can disconnect a provider, revoke an invitation and change notification preferences. Read our privacy policy, terms of service and data-deletion instructions.
